Steve graduated with a B.A. in Radio, Television, and Film from California State University at Long Beach, at that time, working in radio was the furthest thing from his mind.
He worked in the film and television, starting with Unsolved Mysteries and then later was part of the Creative Development Team, at The Disney Channel. In the Print field, he honed his writing skills with his weekly “Street Talk” column for the Orange County Register for a period of 8 years.
In the mid 90’s, Steve joined the sales team at KABC/KLOS/KMPC – ABC Radio in Los Angeles, working with such legendary radio icons, as Ray Briem, Dr. David Viscott, talk show host Michael Jackson, Vin Scully, and Tom Leykis. Later, Steve joined the marketing team at KLAC & KZLA where he worked along side legendary Laker broadcaster, Chick Hearn.
For almost 8 years he developed many “one of a kind” marketing programs for CBS Radio Los Angeles at KFWB, KNX, KTWV, and KLSX-FM Talk. He was one of the first marketing salespersons who developed programs in a single market selling a cluster of stations and using multiple promotional partners to drive increased results and ROIs for his clients.
Before there were Podcasts, Steve developed the concept of “hybrid programming” with “Original Sponsored Programs”. He created high quality radio programs for the retail chain, “A Touch of Romance”, Expedia, E-Trade, as well as numerous other companies airing in multiple markets across the U.S & Canada.
It was at CBS, that Steve created many national promotions for his clients with The Howard Stern Show, which included bringing the show to Los Angeles and Las Vegas 3 years in a row.
Jeff’s professional passions are marketing and radio. Born and raised in Southern California, Jeff grew up listening to talk radio beginning with Mike Harrison’s “Open Access” and The Dr. Demento Show and later, Larry King and Jim Bohannon.
Jeff brings over 23 years of marketing, sales and strategic development experience. Jeff’s professional career in marketing and sales began with British Airways in Washington D.C. and later in Seattle, Washington. He served as the Director of Sales and Marketing for MasterPark in Seattle where he implemented an innovative customer retention and tracking program.
In 2006, Jeff founded B2B Delivery Service; a business dedicated to providing catering to other businesses for meetings. B2B Delivery Service was acquired by Restaurants On The Run.
Jeff has collected over 5,000,000 frequent flyer miles and hotel loyalty points from leveraging the power of various point programs enabling him to travel around the world practically for Free.
Jeff holds a Masters of Business Administration from Seattle University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from UCLA. He currently resides in Southern California with his wife and two beautiful daughters.
In his 13+ years as a principal with RadioActive Media, Jeff has taken pride in successfully elevating many businesses using the power of audio including: SolarCity, Squatty Potty, LogMeIn, and PhoneSoap, TigerLady, FreshBooks, Podium, and SignalWire.
